9 December 2010: Mock-up of Mediaspace’s Roof at Aarhus Harbour

In connection with the development of the new Mediaspace, a segment of the roof slice of the building will be displayed at Aarhus Harbour in the period up to New Year. The segment makes up a tenth of one side of the finished roof slice.

17 June 2010: Contractor for Automatic Parking Facility on Aarhus Harbour

The City of Aarhus and Realea A/S have named the contractor for Denmark’s most innovative parking facility on Aarhus Harbour. The German company Lödige Systems GmbH will supply the car park with room for 1000 cars, which will become Europe’s largest automatic parking facility.

1 June 2010: Trial Pile Driving at Aarhus Harbour

In connection with the construction of Mediaspace, The City of Aarhus conducts trials of the coming piling work at Aarhus Harbour. The trials are carried out in order to be able to choose the best piling method. One criterion is to limit inconveniences in relation to noise and vibrations.

19 May 2010: Winner of Contract Tender in Urban Mediaspace Aarhus

The City of Aarhus has named the company, which has won the competition on construction and completion of the shell worth just under 400 million Danish kroner in the construction project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus. The contracting company NCC Construction Denmark A/S will enter into the partner cooperation on construction of the new Mediaspace.

11 March 2010: New Form of Tender Will Secure Financial Management

The City of Aarhus breaks new ground when tasks worth 400 million Danish kroner are put out to tender in connection with the project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus. ‘Partnering’ as a form of tender will ensure that the budget is kept.

1 March 2010: Aarhus Will Have the Largest Solar Cell Facility in Northern Europe

Today, the municipal corporation of Aarhus approved a city council recommendation, which states that Mediaspace, part of the project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus, is to have the largest solar cell facility in Northern Europe. The structure will thus live up to the requirements in low-energy class 1.
