The basin in the inner harbour will change as the construction of Mediaspace and the new waterfront spaces progresses.

Pier 1, the pier immediately in front of Toldboden (Royal Customs House), will be removed. The previous Parade Quay, where Mediaspace will be placed, will change shape.

Larger water surface for sailing

The consequence of the changes is that the water surface of inner harbour will be larger, which leaves more space for sailing.

We will establish landing stages at the foot of the open space levels to enable people to go ashore from kayaks, canoes or rowboats.
