First phase of construction

The first phase of construction runs from June 2011 to summer 2012.

During this phase, we demolish the old quays and reclaim areas for the new quayside. Simultaneously, we excavate the area needed for foundation and basement – in professional terms called the excavation – where Mediaspace will be built.

It is also during this period that most of the work with steel sheet pile driving and pole driving takes place. This work creates a lot of noise which, unfortunately, we cannot avoid.
