The City of Aarhus, Realdania and Realea A/S invite all citizens to participate in the construction of the new Mediaspace and Urban Waterfront. The kickoff meeting takes place on Monday 14 September 2009 from 19.30 to 21 at the Town Hall.

The City of Aarhus in cooperation with Realdania/Realea construct a unique Mediaspace on Aarhus Harbour and transform the entire harbour area into the most attractive waterfront spaces in the country. All citizens and guests of the city will benefit from the new urban waterfront at the harbour with room for concerts and events including cultural events.

Citizens are invited to take part in the process

A project such as this cannot succeed without involving the people who are to benefit from it. Thus, the citizens of Aarhus have the opportunity to participate in the process and contribute ideas, desires and proposals.

At the kickoff meeting for citizen involvement Alderman Peter Thyssen and Alderman Jakob Bundsgaard Johansen will talk about the visions for the project. Afterwards, the project’s architects will outline the plans for the construction. Finally, participants will hear about their opportunities to participate in workshops with focus on either Mediaspace or the harbour.

It is possible to participate in one or more workshops. No special qualifications are required to participate.
