A large and important step in the Mediaspace project has been taken. The City of Aarhus and Realdania have jointly selected the six teams, which will compete for the right to draw Aarhus’ new urban waterfront and Mediaspace.

The nominated teams

The six teams, which are given the opportunity to present their ideas for an exciting cohesion between the city and the bay, are a mixture of Danish and foreign players:

• C.F. Møller A/S, CEBRA A/S, BB + GG Arquitectes and Kollision I/S
• 3xN A/S and Gehl Architects
• Mecanoo architecten and GJØRTZ, PANK and PARTNERS A/S
• Lundgaard & Tranberg Arkitektfirma A/S, Marianne Levinsen ApS and Imitio I/S
• Arkitema, AART, Hans Peter Kuhn, Seismonaut, Danish Royal School of Library and Information Science, Niels Ole Finnemann
• Schmidt Hammer & Lassen, Bosch & Fjord ApS, Architect Kristine Jensens Tegnestue, Henrik Jochumsen and Casper Hvenegaard Rasmussen

The teams must now attach engineering firms to their projects for the competition.
