The City of Aarhus breaks new ground when tasks worth 400 million Danish kroner are put out to tender in connection with the project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus. “Partnering” as form of tender will ensure that the budget is kept.
Today, the five companies who are competing for the new large shell-contract in relation to Urban Mediaspace Aarhus have been named. The City of Aarhus is project owner with Realdania and Realdania as tenderer and investor respectively.
The new form of tender, partnering, has been chosen. This means that the contractor is involved in the project development at an early stage. It intensifies the utilisation of relevant competences in the project and offers the municipality the opportunity of making necessary prioritisations at an early stage.
This form of tender provides the largest possible security for keeping within the financial frame and for creating an optimal project within that frame.
The five companies which have been prequalified to making an offer for the task are:
The winning company will be responsible for all activities related to the building site. It will, among other things, build the shell, façade and roof. The company will also be responsible for regulating traffic and parking at the building site and for managing the building site.
The five chosen companies must submit their offer for the assignment no later than 7 April. The offers will be assessed as to price, organisation, staffing and method. The assignment is offered at a fixed price of 400 million Danish kroner. The contract with the winner is expected to be signed at the end of May.
