Following a public hearing and a spin in the Technical Affairs Committee, Aarhus City Council has passed the district plan for the new waterfront spaces and Mediaspace.

‘District Plan 876. New central waterfront spaces and Mediaspace in Aarhus’ opens opportunities for:

• Developing the inner harbour in Aarhus and build Mediaspace at the mouth of the river
• Reopening the final stretch of Aarhus River
• Establishing a parking facility under Mediaspace
• Altering the infrastructure in the area
• Establishing high water protection of the city centre.
